Mausoleum at Halicarnassus

The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus or Tomb of Mausolus was a tomb built between 353 and 350 BC at Halicarnassus (present Bodrum, Turkey). 

This structure was designed by the Greek architects Satyros and Pythius of Priene.

Was approximaly 45m  (148ft) in height, and the four sides were adorned with sculptural reliefs, each created by Leochares, Bryaxis, Scopas of Paros, and Timotheus.

This mausoleum was destroyed throught many earthquakes from 12th century and 15th century.

*The word mausoleum has now come to be used generically for an above-ground tomb.

Temple of Philae

Philae Island was a rocky island in the middle of the River Nile, south of Aswan.

The Ancient Egyptians built a beautiful temple on this island for the Goddess Isis, but the Temple became sumerged.

Many countries, together with UNESCO, selected a place when they reconstructed the temple. 

The temple was reopened in 1980!

This temple is one of the greatest temples in Egypt and it occupies a big place in the island.

It consists of The 1st Pylon, which is a great tradicional pylon with two towers, and an open forecourt.

Hi! Now I explain you the cuneiform.

The cuneiform is one of the earliest systems of writing. This started around 3.500 BC. 

Originally the sumerians wrote in wet clay tables, with a plant stem in wedge shaped. After they wrote in metal and stones too.

In some tables, for example of Uruk,the researches found 2000 diferent symbols!!

Most of the symbols had a word meaning, for example, the syllable an is good or sky, and this syllable has a symbol.

 Cave Of El Castillo

Hello my friends!! Today I speak of the Prehistory caves, in particular, of the Cave of El Castillo.

Is in Puente Viesgo, in Cantabria (Spain).It contains the oldest known cave art in the world.

This cave was discovered in 1903 by Hermilio Alcalde del Río, a spanish archaeologist.

The entrance of the cave was small in the past, now is more big.

This cave was nombred  World Heritage Comittee in 2008.

Mi Problema de Ecuaciones

Homo Neanderthal- Alba Morales Vallejo

¡¡Hola!! Hoy voy a hablar sobre el Homo Neanderthal, un tipo de homínido que se extinguió hace mucho tiempo, pero... ¿por qué razón se extinguió?
Esta especie llegó a Europa hace 40.000 años y estuvo durante 12.000 años aproximadamente.
Hay muchas teorías sobre su desaparición.

Hace 25.000 años todo el norte de Europa estaba totalmente congelado, a si que puede que hayan desaparecido porque no aguantaban el frío. También puede haber sido porque los animales que cazaban hubieran emigrado, pero ahora se ha descubierto que los neanderthales estaban preparados para ese clima.
Otra causa podría haber sido que las plantas o los animales que cazaban, hubieran desaparecido por el frío y el homínido tenía que vivir sin lo que lo mantenía.

Aún no se sabe a ciencia cierta... ¡¡¡pero tú puedes seguir investigándolo!!!

¡¡Hola!! Hoy vamos a hacer una actividad que me han mandado sobre porcentajes.

Estoy en el supermercado y voy a comprar cápsulas de Tassimo que valen 4'85/paquete... tengo seis ofertas:  3x2 , 25% , 2 unidad a mitad de precio, 20% , 30% , 4x3... ¿cuál será mejor?

 *Vamos a averiguar el precio del paquete en cada una de las ofertas:

1º) 3 x 2 : 

-> 4'85€ x 2= 9'70€

->9'70€ : 3= 3'23€ me cuesta un paquete, ahorro 1'62€ / paquete.

2º) 25% de 4'85€:

-> 4'85/100 x 25         4'85 : 100= 0'0485       0'0485 x 25= 1'2125 €

->4'85-1'21= 3'64€ me cuesta un paquete, ahorro 1'21€ / paquete.

3º) 2ª unidad a mitad de precio:

-> 4'85 : 2= 2'42€

->4'85+2'42= 7'27€ /2 paquetes              

 7'27 : 2= 3'63€ me cuesta un paquete, ahorro 1'22€  / paquete.

4º) 20% de 4'85€:

->4'85/100 x 20         4'85 : 100= 0'0485       0'0485 x 20= 0'97 €

->4'85- 0'97= 3'88€ me cuesta un paquete, ahorro 0'97€ / paquete.

5º)30% de 4'85€:

->4'85/100 x 30        4'85 : 100= 0'0485        0'0485 x 30= 1'45€

->4'85- 1'45= 3'40€ me cuesta un paquete, ahorro 1'45€ / paquete.

6º)4x3:

->4'85 x 3 = 14'55€

->14'55 : 4= 3'64€ (redondeo) me cuesta un paquete, ahorro 1'21€ / paquete.
